Do cyclists follow the rules for cars or pedestrians?

When I’m driving along, and the lights are green, cyclists go ahead and cycle on, following rules for traffic. When lights are red, they jump on the footpath and follow the pedestrian lights and rules!

This often results in me having to hit the brakes or hitting the cyclist. There’s ONE RULE IDIOTS! If the cycle lane is on the road, you follow rules for traffic. If there’s no cycle path, follow the rules of pedestrians.

Next time, I won’t stop.
